I SELL ONLY WITHIN THE U. I'm offering today an adorable and large vinyl & hard plastic baby doll from the early 1960's era. She is hallmarked on the back of her neck "GV", which I do not know what company that is from. Her head, arms, and legs are jointed, allowing you many ways to pose her. This sweet baby doll has the biggest green open and close sleep eyes ever!

She is so cute and dressed in such a sweet outfit. I hope you enjoy her as much as I did making the outfit for her photos. I will start at the top of her head and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description. Starting at the top of her head, she has dark brown straight hair with bangs, which frame her chubby face perfectly.

She is wearing a bonnet with large ruffled brim, which I created to match her adorable outfit. You go down to her face, she has single brown line for eyebrows.

She has beautiful green open and close sleep eyes, which have lots of shine to them. She has her original eyelashes which have been spared from her previous little mommies scissors. Sometimes, the little mommies like to cut the eyelashes and hair on their dolls, but this one was not touched. Her eyes open and close freely when you lay her down or pick her up.

She has a dainty petite nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her precious open mouth. Her lips are painted dark red color with single hole for bottle feeding. I don't give my old dolls water, so I do not know if she tinkles or not.

I'll leave that up to her new mommy. Her chubby baby cheeks have beautiful coloring which really enhance those beautiful green eyes she has. The back of her neck is hallmarked: "GV". As I mentioned above, I do believe she was offered to us in the early 1960's era.

As most of you who follow me know, I pick their outfits based upon the way their faces look and what they speak to my heart. Ith this precious face and large green eyes, she needed to be in something bright, so I chose bright yellow bumble bee fabric. We have here in Texas a large flea market called "Canton", which occurs on the first Monday of each month. There are Pavilions there which house the more exclusive vendors and there are many talented ladies there, who I love to see what they have created.

Several months back, I went to Canton and ran across a lady who was making these adorable baby clothes out of old flour sacks with days of the week on them. Since we're not allowed to take photos in the Pavilion, I went outside and drew the outfit. I knew if she could make these for infants, why couldn't I make them for my dolls.

So, to make a long story short, I've made a few of these and decided this dark haired beauty needed to be in the bright yellow set. This old flour sack is embroidered with a dutch lady in blues and bright yellow flowers.

The depiction on the front of the dress shows a dutch lady watering her beautiful flowers with a large watering can. The watering can is tilted slightly which has water flowing out of the spout. Therefore, I made this adorable embroidered dutch lady the front of the dolls dress.

It is a simple "A" line dress, which comes up high around the neckline. I added a peter pan collar with delicate white lace.

As you go around to the back side of the dress, there are three metal snaps, which I covered with antique white buttons. This keeps the dress securely in place on the doll.

As you come back around to the front of the dress, I chose this adorable bright yellow bumble bee fabric, which is on the back two panels of the dress and the sleeves. Her sleeves can be pulled down to her wrists or pulled up to her elbows. I trimmed each sleeve with the same delicate white lace.

I trimmed the hemline on the dress with very full gathered white satin and sheer lace trim. It looks so sweet on her. Her bonnet was a real challenge for me. Since I didn't have a pattern to work with, I had to make my own and believe me, that wasn't easy.

The sweet little bonnet has two layers of ruffles in the same bumble bee fabric and is trimmed with wide ruffled white lace. I found the same color of yellow satin ribbon as the fabric, which I made ties to go around her neck. The bow has streamers, which you can tie off to one side so as not to take away from the beautiful embroidering. She is wearing matching bloomers which are trimmed with the ruffled white lace and come down just past her knees.

To top off this wonderful set, she is wearing white socks with delicate lace trim and black Mary Jane shoes. The shoes have little bows on top.

I think she looks adorable! My dolls are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough. My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy.

All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children. Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll. We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor.

Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children..... They are all beautiful in their mothers eyes. If I've missed something it would never be intentional.

This vintage baby doll is a larger doll measuring approximately 20 tall. This doll is vintage, but in what I would consider good condition.

Her body has been cleaned and sanitized. Her hair has been washed and sanitized. Her eyes open/close freely and she has her original eyelashes. She is jointed and poses quite nicely. She has all her fingers and toes.

Her beautiful designer outfit was created by me and has my label on the inside of the dress. It is a one of a kind creation and there are no others out there. Her socks and Mary Jane shoes are vintage, but have never been worn by another doll. They come from my personal doll shoe collection. We are an older couple and try very hard to avoid getting out. The photos really tell the story about this doll.

She is a beautiful doll and one of a kind. Please view complete set of photos for thorough description.

I hope you can take a few minutes to look at my other dolls. This item is in the category "Dolls & Bears\Dolls, Clothing & Accessories\Dolls & Doll Playsets". The seller is "texanconnie" and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
