Antique Victorian Custom Made Silk Ivory Lined Wedding Gown Gorgeous Silhouette

  

There is not a label so I'm not sure about the origins or the Fabric. It appears to be Silk, and appears to be Victorian Circa early 1900s but these are estimations. The Silhouette is Victorian but the Fabric is so well-preserved it may be a Mid-Century Hollywood Costume/Reproduction Piece? This Elegant Dress has a Minimalist Style for the era.

The silhouette is similar to a Riding Dress (there is a slit down middle starting under the buttons-see photos of dress open), and like Riding Dresses it is not frilly or adorned with flowers or lace. Sleeve 14 (from under arm seam). (I believe the mannequin the dress is displayed on is Size 4). In Very-Good Antique/Vintage Condition: appears little-worn and well-preserved but there are several condition issues to note.

1-The lining has dropped/may require alteration-see the very last photo for close-up of bottom of dress. 2-There are very faint marks under both arm-see last photo for close-up of each arm. 3-There are a few faint marks on dress in a couple of places-the 2nd to last photo shows a mark on back of elbow and back side, and also there are a few areas where the fabric shows wear/is slightly frayed when viewed up-close: see the 2nd to last photo for close-up examples of marks and wear. 4-The Dress color is even-no fading (shadows appear in some photos but the color is even) but the buttons have very faint tanning. 5-The Buttons are in Good Condition (other than slight tanning just mentioned), and the Button-Holes are well-constructed but the Top Loop seems too small for the button to fit-I did not want to force it but even visually the Loop appears smaller than the others. Over-all the dress is clean and free of stains that you usually see around the wrist sleeve + bottom-see in last photos the sleeves turned-up and bottom hem are very well preserved.
